Discover the Credit Union Difference
At Discovery, we do things a little differently. We think about the financial success of our members before we think of anything else. We think of ways to help our members achieve their aspirations - whether it is to buy their first car, remodel their home, save for retirement or own a small business.
We're committed to each and every member at every level. We constantly strengthen and enhance our services to meet the changing needs of the people we serve, and we provide products that genuinely benefit our members.
As a member-owned and operated financial cooperative, the credit union philosophy of not for profit, not for charity, but for service shines through in everything we do.
WHO WE ARE
The History of Discovery
Discovery has been serving the greater Reading and Berks County region for more than half a century. Founded in 1959, the credit union has continuously grown in size, membership and capability, yet we maintain the value-driven, member-focused philosophy that sets us apart.
Our passion is watching our members achieve financial success and prosperity. We're always on the lookout for innovative solutions to address the challenges our members face - now and tomorrow. We have a contemporary way of thinking, and we take the lead by looking at situations from different angles and putting our insights into action.
We know that Discovery impacts the growth and success of our members, their families, their ambitions and their dreams. That is why we are dedicated to excellent member service, premium products and services, integrity and personal attention to every member.
